Avon Au Pair Agency Code of Ethics

Avon Au Pair Agency agrees to abide by the following code of practise as their minimum standard of conduct.

  • We agree to adhere to and comply with all Home Office requirements applicable to the placement of Au Pairs in the UK.
  • We shall provide clients with written terms and conditions of business, including scale of fees as soon as an enquiry is made.
  • We will endeavour to ensure that both the Client and Applicant are made fully aware of the procedures of Avon Au Pair Agency.
  • We shall maintain the highest standards of conduct in all areas of business.
  • We will be truthful and honest in all advertisements and publicity.
  • We will only introduce applicants to clients who seem fully suitable for the position in terms of their qualifications, experience and personality.
  • We shall provide clients with copies of all necessary documentation from the Au Pair.
  • We shall provide the Au Pair applicant with a Letter of Invitation from the host family once deemed suitable by the client.
  • We will make sure that host families are aware of the need to offer Au Pairs time off (two free days per week), a minimum of two week's paid leave for every six months worked, the provision of a room and board and weekly allowance as agreed prior to commencement of work.
  • We will respect the confidentiality of both clients and au pairs.
  • We shall assist either or both parties should any problems arise throughout the duration of the au pair's stay including investigating concerns or complaints pertaining to the terms and conditions of employment without prejudice.
